To continue our mission to help mothers and babies, Council #10462 took on the challenge to help a new women’s clinic get ultrasound machines and help connect families with their unborn children. With the financial assistance of the Knights of Columbus, including Central Florida Laps for Life their sponsors and our Supreme Council, and the private donors from the friends of the new clinic, the watchful eye and leadership of Council #10462 Pro-Life director, Dawson C. Wright IV, the assistance from many local Knights in the Orlando area including Larry Scotchie, James Taglia, Don Holzemer, Michael Coleman and many others at the State and Supreme Councils, as well as the support and attention provided by Catholic Charities of Central Florida Culture of Life Director, Leidy Rivas, this dream has become a reality.
On Tuesday, July 13, 2021, the new clinic, Choices Women’s Clinic (UCF), had its grand opening welcoming family and friends to visit the new facility. On site, Advent Health will be leasing the suite attached to the main office of the clinic to provide women and their unborn child additional medical options.
