On Sunday, June 13, 2021, the Knights of Columbus, Assembly #3333 held a United States of America flag retirement ceremony, the day before Flag Day. Present during the ceremony was members of St. Isaac Jogues Assembly and Council, many of whom are veterans of the U.S. military, the Assembly’s Color Corp, the Boy Scouts of America’s local troop and parishioners. During the ceremony, we properly retired Old Glory, honoring the flag of our great country in a dignified manner through burning, saluting and eventual burial of the ashes.
Thank you to all of those, especially Color Corp Commander Dr. Joseph A. Fernandez, Scoutmaster Mike Maker and the members of our Assembly who made this event possible. Enjoy a few pictures from the event.
